Flasher jigs

These are the only jigs you need whether you use the short shanks for bait or the long shanks for plastics. These jigs are deadly on all game fish but they really excel on walleyes!! I have caught fish on dead rods or pitching these jigs and am hooked!!

Flashers on a dead stick

Most places where we can run 2 rods per angler we cast with one rod and then I tie on a Flasher Jig for use on a dead rod and hang it off the side of the boat with a leech, night crawler or a minnow with great success. The success of this approach is very calculated based on the design of this jig; the Flasher Jig remains horizontal in the water even with bait attached presenting a natural profile. With the addition of the small willow blade the smallest amount of movement on the boat and or wave actions makes this jig dance that passing fish cannot resist. The other aspect at times we simply overlook fish that are right below the boat, this tactic will get most of these fish and provide addition clues for angler success.
